Defining Learner Needs

Defining Learner Needs(1)

Learners tend to confuse their beliefs about their language as needs.

This is why it’s so important to help your learners to express their needs clearly, both verbally and in writing by making them fill out a needs analysis form. If they see a specific purpose for studying, they are more motivated because it serves as a standard to follow.

Then you, as the teacher, have an anchor to base your course around. This allows you to select material that fits learner needs consistently so you don’t get distracted. It also gives you a benchmark for their progress.

This live workshop covers:

✔️How to do a needs analysis that actually works
✔️How to set goals that keep learners motivated
✔️How to balance language and content

Additional resources will be given after the webinar for further study, including my own needs analysis which I have been using for 5 years.

June 2nd at 4pm GMT +3 via Zoom. Link is in the first lesson.

Recording will be available.
